WELCOME! Discussion of Universal Design for Learning Different engaging games for students Different websites that can be used. Technology is great way for students to learn and it opens more doors for that learning.

WHAT IS UDL “Universal design for learning is a specialized application of universal design and is an approach that holds considerable promise for meeting the needs of diverse learners.” (Edyburn, 2013, Section 5.1) Video: UDL at a glanceUDL at a glance It opens doors.

DIFFERENTIATION AND UDL Work together to make learning better for all. (Puckett, 2013, Section 1.1) Helps to ensure that there is understanding. (Puckett, 2013, Section 1.1)

WHAT IS DIFFERENTIATED INSTRUCTION? “Differentiated instruction, or DI, allows teachers to consider students' strengths and weaknesses and devise instruction based on these characteristics”. “Instruction is varied, so students can take in information in different ways, use different approaches to understanding key aspects of the information, and express or demonstrate what they have learned according to their skills and abilities”
