Second grade teachers have high expectations of your children. We expect all students to be respectful and responsible. Students and parents should expect a teacher who is firm, caring, fair and consistent.

Being a quality studentNot being a quality student Class Rewards Ex: extra recess, video, lunch in classroom, prizes, awards Reflect on ways to improve poor choices and stay on green. Time out or removal from activity Participate in monthly SOAR celebrations Will be asked to sit out of celebration and reflect on choices Play for the whole recess. Will have structured recess. Will learn more because they are ready to learn. May fall behind because behavior is stopping them from learning.

Students will take home their folders everyday with their behavior colored in, along with any papers that you will need to review. Please return any papers that are marked for parent’s signature. If you send in lunch money please make sure that it is in an envelope or baggie with your child’s first and last name, and my name. Place it inside their folder.
