SES Classroom Planners  You will need to check your child’s planner each night and initial it.  Each day your child starts off with a green stamp. A second stamp will be placed in the planner if behavior indicates a change.  If your child receives a yellow or red in their planner please talk to them about their behavioral choices  Please write any notes to me or Mrs. Hilbert in your child’s planner… they are checked daily.

SES Behavioral Expectations Our school is using the following color system to help your child make good choices in class. Good and appropriate behavior. Following Stingray Ways. Blue: required a warning to make good behavior choices usually due to talking Yellow: needed numerous reminders and visual cuing to make appropriate behavioral choices. Red: Inappropriate behavior, disrespectful choices (may receive discipline note)

Homework Expectations  Your child will receive their homework on Monday, and it will be due back on Friday. This is a requirement for my class!  Homework should take no longer than 15 minutes (reading, writing, math and discussion).  It is very important that they complete and return their homework each week.  Homework reinforces what is taught in the classroom, and will greatly benefit your child’s learning.  3 weeks of missing homework will result in a schedule conference.

SES Tuesday Folders  Tuesday folders will be sent home every Tuesday (white envelope)  They MUST be emptied each Tuesday, signed and return to school with your child the next day  Daily work, important news from the office and flyers will be sent home in the Tuesday folder.

SES Library Books and Class Library Books  We will be sending books home with your child throughout the school year. Some will be from our school library while others from our class library.  Please make sure that these books are not damaged, and handled with care and love.  If your child borrows a book from one of our libraries and damages it the parents are asked to replace the book at their cost.
