How to create an Itunes account to your computer
Presentation transcript:

The old way to set up Ipads Once you unbox your iPad, you’ll immediately want to connect the iPad’s USB cable to your default home machine and open iTunes. When iTunes launches you’ll be asked to activate the iPad, agree to its Terms and Conditions, and register your device.iTunes Now you just plug in to electric outlet and answer the questions on the screen. You need to setup an ITunes account. ( very important)

 Start by opening  “Settings” then  “ .”  From within there choose  “Add Account” and select  “Microsoft Exchange”  Or Gmail if that is what your school uses.

 Use this if you have region5 .  The settings are as follows:  Domain: texasesc.net  Username: NETBIOS name  Ex. Just the “connie.richardson” in net”  Password: Your Password

 Click “next” and it will error asking for the server.  Enter:  Server: mobile.texasesc.net  Click “Next” and all will work.

 Go to settings, mail,gmail. add account  Name: Connie Richardson   Password: ********  Description : Gmail  Smtp: smtp.gmail.com

 Open the iTunes or App Store on your device.  Tap Music from the bottom navigation bar if you're in the iTunes Store, then scroll to the bottom of the page.  If you're using the App Store, tap Featured from the bottom navigation bar and scroll to the bottom of the page.

 Tap Redeem. In the text box, enter your 16-digit code which starts with an "X". (If you have an iTunes Gift Card this is printed on the back of the card).

1.When done, tap Redeem. 2. If you are not already signed in, you will be prompted to do so after tapping Redeem. Once you have successfully redeemed your iTunes Gift Card, you will see the following Thank You page. When done, tap Redeem. Whatever you do, don’t leave your iPhone or iPod sitting in a hot car—heat kills batteries faster than any other factor, and your device that used to keep a charge for hours will eventually barely hold a charge, and you’ll have to pay Apple to get it replaced. The same thing holds true for any really hot environment: try and store your device in a cool place.

If you keep the screen at maximum brightness all the time, you’re wasting a lot of battery life— and the screens these days are so bright anyway that you don’t really need to, especially at night. Head into Settings -> Brightness & Wallpaper to adjust the default level of brightness, which you can probably keep as low as 30% most of the time.

 Even if you’ve adjusted the screen brightness, there’s still no substitute for having it turn off quickly when you’re not using it. Head into General -> Auto-Lock to set the screen lock to happen as quickly as your device will let you. This makes a big difference if you are always picking up your phone and putting it back into your pocket without turning the display off.

 If you’ve got a bunch of , calendar, or contact accounts configured, and they are all being checked and downloading on a regular basis, you’ll be draining the battery an awful lot faster than you need to.  Head into Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Fetch New Data and change the setting to the least frequent check possible. If you don’t use it often, you can just turn Push off entirely and then manually check when you need to.

 Do you really need notifications from Twitter or whatever other apps you’re running? You can turn these off one-by-one, or turn off Push entirely by heading into Settings -> Notifications, and save a bit of extra battery life since your device won’t be pulling in data for those applications anymore.

If you wanted to lock the iPad in landscape mode, you’d have to hold it in landscape mode before going through all of this.

 Just tap and hold the icon, and you’ll be able to move it around to a different spot.

and the rest of your currently running programs will be displayed.

1. Start out by “double-clicking” the Home button on your iPad, iPhone or iPadTouch. The Home button is the one at the bottom of your iDevice, as illustrated in the image below. 2. This will bring up the ‘list’ of currently running Apps – by way of an “App bar” at the bottom of your screen. Tap and hold down on any one of the currently running Apps (even if it’s not the one you want to close). 3. You’ll notice that each App will start to “wiggle” and now has a small “minus sign” circle in the upper left corner. Tap the “minus sign” of the App you want to close/quit

 That App will now close. NOTE: This will close the App, not delete it. For instructions on how to delete an App from your iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch, see this tutorial.your iPadthis tutorial  You can continue tapping the “minus signs” to close all open Apps, if needed.  That’s It!!

 If you’ve scrolled down a long page of content, it can be annoying to scroll all the way back up to the top. Thankfully, all you need to do is tap the title bar at the top of the screen, and you’ll scroll back up to the top.

 Calculator (jumbo)  Calendar  Clock  Contacts  iTunes  Mail  Maps (google maps)  Notes  Photos  Netflix  document scanner  App Store  Teach my Kindergarten  Talking Tom  Twitterrific for iPad  The Weather Channel  Pandora Radio  My Starbucks  Spanish Dictionary  YouTube  Voice Memos  Music  Videos  Lots, Lots, More!!!

 Start out by downloading HP ePrint.
