Degrees/s Needed  Most people who want to become teachers get their Bachelor’s Degree.  Some other people are overachievers, so they also get their Master’s and Specialist’s Degree.

Tasks  Most teachers establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order among students.  A good thing for teacher to do is discuss with parents or guardians to talk about their child’s behavior.  Teachers should help their students who need extra help on homework or assignments.

Knowledge  Teachers must have knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.  The Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects

Work Activities  Teachers must be developing, designing, or creating new applications, ideas, relationships, systems, or products so their student won’t get bored.  Teachers can put kids in groups so they will be talking and learning at the same time.

Skill &’ Activities  The two big thing teachers must know how to instruct and speak fluently.  They must be monitoring themselves, other students, to improve themselves, and correct others from their mistakes.

State &’ Median Pay  Median Pay: $81,600  State Pay: 72,200

Why do I think I would be suited for the job?  I think I will be suited for the job because I love children, I'd love for people to succeed knowing that I did it, and I want to be the one changing their lives in a positive way.

Challenges &’ Rewards of this job  The challenges would be the patience and time consuming the job takes.  The reward for me would be the satification and appreciation of the kids later on in life.

Person I interviewed  I interviewed Mrs. Misley because she was the teacher that inspired me to become a Middle School Language Arts Teacher. She was very kind and caring, but at the same tough. She was all the characteristics of a perfect teacher!

Questions 1. What degrees do you have? She has her Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Specialist’s degrees. 2. What activities do you do? Whole group, small group, cooperative groups, we work activities to build reading, writing, and grammar skills. 3. What skills and activities do you use? I love to use my ability to speak another language to benefit the students and their families.

Questions 4. What challenges have you faced? Exhaustion, because being a teacher requires working more than 40 hours a week. 5. What have been your rewards from this job? I am passionate about my work. I love getting up every morning and getting ready to go and help people become all that they can be. Because of what I do, I may have changed someone's life for the better. No amount of money can reward you like the satisfaction of being a teacher.
