14 1. What is your favorite part about your job? 2. What was your first day teaching like? 3. How long have you been teaching? 4. Have you always wanted to be a teacher if not, what made you decide to be a teacher? 5. How do you decide to teach your plans for the day? 1. My favorite part of my job is working with little children and seeing their faces light up when they are learning. I love teaching the younger children as they love to learn. They are so sweet and loving. They make my job a joy each and every day!!! 2. My very first day of teaching was extremely nerve racking! I taught second grade and I was so scared. I wasn't so much scared of the children as I was their parents!! I was young and fresh out of college and I had no children of my own. I remember "thinking" I was so ready and organized for the day. Then the Superintendent of Fulton County schools came into my classroom as I was stapling a couple of papers (at my desk) for a few students. I did not have enough stapled before hand. I was so embarrassed! My advise....always be prepared and organized in this job. You can get eaten alive if you are not:) 3. I have been teaching for 15 years and still love it as much as I did when I first started.....if not more! 4. Yes! I have always wanted to be a teacher!!! I played school almost everyday when I was a little girl. I had a chalk board, books, workbooks, chairs set up in our basement......the whole 9 yards! 5. We plan as a grade level and share our plans in our grade level meetings each week. We are very fortunate to be able to do such collaboration. We teach all subjects in 1st grade and it would be a tremendous amount of work if we did not do it as a team. Again, the key is to be ready and organized! INTERVIEW.
