1. Classroom Scenarios We all need to work together to build a positive class community!

2. Scenario 1 Oops! You are late to Ms. Kline’s class. You do not have a pass. The door is shut and class has begun already. What should you do when you get there?

3. Scenario 2 Ms. Kline has given you a challenging assignment. You are allowed to talk to your peers quietly while working. There are directions on the board and a worksheet. What should you do?

4. Scenario 3 Ms. Kline is teaching up at the board. She is asking questions. You have an answer that is pertinent to the discussion. What should you do?

5. Scenario 4 Ms. Kline is teaching. You need to use the restroom. What should you do?

6. Scenario 5 Class has started and Ms. Kline is teaching. You need to ask about your grade and a missing assignment. What should you do?

7. Scenario 6 You were absent yesterday. Class hasn’t started yet and you would like to get your missing work. What should you do?

8. Scenario 7 You came to class (you were even early!) However, you forgot a writing utensil. What should you do?

9. Scenario 8 You brought candy and pop to class. You want to finish it, but you know that it is not allowed in class. What should you do?

10. Scenario 9 You had your hat on, hood up, and headphones in as you were walking to class. Now you are entering the classroom. What should you do?

11. Scenario 10 Ms. Kline has agreed to let you use your hall pass. (It is individual work time and it is not the first 10 or last 10 minutes of class.) Now what should you do?

12. Getting Put of Class with a Referral * I will always try to speak with you before I send you to get a referral (unless violent behavior or swearing/threats directed at others). First: I will give you 3 warnings (I might move you to a different seat, have a conversation, look at you, speak to you, etc.) Second: I will call home (parents/guardians should know how you are behaving) Third: You will be put out of class with a referral.

13. Confiscating Phones/Other Items Usually when I take a phone/headphones/grooming supplies I will keep it to the end of the hour. However, If you have been warned and start messing with your phone/other items with less then 10 minutes left of class I may take it until the end of the day.

14. Take Responsibility! We all make mistakes. If you do wrong…own up and face the consequences. Please don’t lie. It is always best to tell the truth. When I catch you in a lie it makes it harder for me to have trust in you.
