3 Bring headphones daily for: – Videos – Interactive activities – Music ** Music during independent work time- – 80% or higher on each summative – Rule starts over every time you take a summative Headphones (if you have them)

5 You are to be in your seat when the tardy bell rings If you are tardy, go to Tardy Eliminator. (in extra Science room) 3 tardies = Saturday School Tardies

6 Start working on the Warm Up when seated. You will have 3-5 minutes. I check these on “Are you trying?” rather than “Do you have the right answer?” Warm up Must-Haves: – Question – Answer – Date Secret… Warm up questions often reappear on tests! Warm-ups

7 While you are working on your warmup, have your tablet open to NetSchool. Tablet

8 Grades consist of: *FORMATIVE ASSESSMENTS: Daily work/Homework/Quizzes/Activities: 40% *SUMMATIVE ASSESSMENTS: Tests/Major Projects: 60% A higher summative grade will drop a lower formative grade (except 0% missing assignments) Grading Lunch tutorials available every day during lunch *Let me know you are coming Take as lunch pass when you need it. 9 Late Work -15 points OFF your grade if turned in same day or 1 day late -30 points OFF your grade for 2 or more days late No Extra Credit Be prepared the first time Late Work For example: You turn in an assignment and when it is graded you earn an 80%. BUT, you turned it in 1 day late…. 80-15 = 65%. Two days late: 80-30= 50%

10 “I’m finished…Now what…?” Options include: Complete any of the activities under the “Resource” section for the topic we are currently studying Work on homework for another class Study for an upcoming test Read a book

12 Use the bathroom appropriately. *If you need to use the bathroom more frequently than “normal” due to medical reasons, please let me know in private. 13 Allowable Snacks: Healthy food Water with a lid (ONLY!) Non-allowable Snacks: Chips, candy/chocolate, gum, etc. Soda, Gatorade, Juice, Coffee Snacks
