8. Tardy/Hall Pass Policy Restroom- Only for emergencies! Must have hall pass, no exceptions! Hall passes are found in your planner. Tardies are counted if not in your seat working on the warm up and quiet – so be on time and on task!

Discipline Policy Any disruptions of the teaching-learning process in the classroom will be handled as follows: –First disruption: warning –Second disruption: coaching – call home/email notification –Third disruption: call home and parent meeting –Fourth disruption: Automatic office referral. –At any time Mrs. White has the option to give an office referral if the disruption is disrespectful to Mrs. White or others learning.

12. Grading Policy All grades will be on a 4 point scale. Grade Scale: Percentage: 3.5 - 4.0 = A 87.5 – 100 = A 2.75 -3.49 = B 68.75 – 87.49 = B 2.74 – 2.0 = C 50 – 68.74 = C Below – 1.99 = F < 50 = F Papers handed back to students may have one of the following marks on them to help with corrections: CA = Completely Accurate INC = Completely Inaccurate PA = Partially Accurate It is your Responsibility to check grades on IC by Tuesday of each week. This will be used during Eagletime.  During the course of a unit any work completed may be corrected and turned back in for a higher score. At the end of a unit, there is only one week allowed for make-up work/test. Students may not make up assignments/tests after the cut-off date.

14. Absences It is your responsibility to find out the information you missed. You do this by checking Mrs. White’s website and picking up any handouts/documents (on website) given the previous day. If you have questions about the lesson please ask during the bell ringer, after class, or during lunch. If your absence is excused you have two days for every day missed to make up the work. If your absence is not excused you can not make up the work.

Questions???  Materials – I will provide these, you must keep organized!  Access to the electronic book: TBA  Homework – In my class, homework is a tool to help a student gain a greater knowledge of the subject area or finish an assignment that was not done in the allotted class time, please make sure to do the homework given.  Late work is accepted with no penalty until the standard is assessed. This may be one week or a month depending on the standard. After that time period all missing work will remain a zero.  Cheating is not tolerated and will result in a F on the assignment and a call home.

Labs started at home should follow the four point rubric provided in class.

19. HELP! I am more than willing to help you with any questions or concerns you have concerning this class Please feel free to talk with me in person, or by e-mail if you need help. My goal and purpose is for you to be successful in this class, prepare you for high school, and develop a love for science. I am available for one-on-one help: After school (almost always). This is a great time to meet. Please let me know ahead of time if you need after-school help so I can prepare to stay at school a little longer. Wednesday Eagle-Time Access: You may request to work with me on Wednesdays, or I may write you a pass if I think that we should meet to work on something. Lunch: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Student After School Homework Help (SASH) is also available Tuesday through Thursday from 3:00 to 4:30 in the Library Media Center.
