Our Classroom Expectations: 6 P’s for a Practically Perfect Year Be Punctual = Be in your seat when the tardy bell rings. Be Positive = Bring a good attitude. Be Prepared = Bring required supplies & homework with you. Be Polite = Use appropriate language. Respect everyone and everything in204) Be Productive = Always try your best to complete all assignments and meet goals. Be Persistent = Never give up.

Consequences 1.Official Warning 2.1 st Consequence: Student teacher conference and phone call home. 3.2 nd Consequence: after school or lunch detention (written notice home) 4.3 rd Consequence: parent phone call PLUS a referral to administration 5.4 th Classroom consequence-- team-student meeting

Incentives Daily: Student Star Express Cards – Receive a star for each time student is observed meeting the classroom expectations. – Once card is full (3 or 5 stars), student receives a Tiger Buck or prize, and card is displayed in classroom. Weekly: Praise & Positive progress reports home. Quarterly: Recognized as a Science Super Star – A or higher in honors courses or a B or higher in General Ed classes

Grades 30%- Tests 20%- Projects-- ~ 2 projects each nine weeks 15% - Quizzes/Labs 25% - Classwork/Snapshots 10% - Homework Including Materials

Things That Might Have an Impact on Grades: Science Fair Project will be due January 22 nd – Science Fair will be Thursday, February 18 th Late Work up to 3 calendar days after the due date 5-10 points will be deducted per day

Science Expectations: Do your best. No SOL this year for Science will have EOY assessment. Follow all rules – Student Code of Conduct, 7 th grade team rules, and classroom rules.
