TLC Purpose Extended learning opportunities for all students

TLC Daily Schedule Computer Lab 2:30 – 5:30 P.M. Mathematics 2:30 – 5:30 P.M. TLC for Algebra I2:30 – 4:30 P.M. English 2:30 – 4:30 P.M. Science 2:30 – 4:30 P.M. Social Studies 2:30 – 3:30 P.M. Foreign Language2:30 – 3:30 P.M. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays

TLC Student Attendance Every student is eligible to attend TLC. Teachers recommend students for remediation and/or make-up assignments. Students voluntarily attend TLC. Parents request that their child attend TLC.

TLC Individual Learning Plan

TLC Daily Schedule TLC tutors and students sign in at 2:30. Students change sessions at 3:30 and 4:30. Bus transportation is provided at 4:30 and 5:30.

TLC Staffing – TLC Tutors Teachers certified in core subjects Provide 24 hours of academic assistance daily Provide 2200 hours of academic assistance during the school year

TLC Staffing – Peer Tutors DHS students who have expertise in core areas and effective communication skills The goals of the Peer Tutoring Program: –Peer Tutors will serve as positive role models to all students. –Peer Tutors will provide academic assistance to all students.

TLC Staffing – Peer Tutors Compensation for Peer Tutors –Peer Tutors are paid $6 - $7.50 per hour. –Peer Tutors earn service hours for NHS, Beta, etc. Provide 6 hours of academic assistance daily Provide over 550 hours of academic assistance during the school year

TLC Program Funding Began in with a $100,000 8(g) grant Highly valued by all stakeholders, TLC quickly became a vital part of the school’s culture. Currently funded by St. Charles Parish at a cost of $70,000 per year
