4 High School Graduation Requirements
English 4yrs. 40 credits History/Social Science 3yrs. 30 credits Mathematics 2yrs. 20 credits Science Health ½ yr. 5 credits Physical Ed. 2 yrs. Foreign Lang or Visual/Perf. Arts 1 yr. 10 credits Electives 75 credits To graduate from El Diamante High School, a student must: * Earn 220 credits *Pass the High School Exit Exams (Language Arts +Math) *Successfully complete at least Integrated Math 1at 2 year Math requirement

6 Freshmen All Freshmen should currently have completed 30 credits to be on track Should have 60 credits completed at the end of this school year.

7 Sophomores To be on track to graduate, at the end of sophomore year Student should have 120 credits. Currently should have 90 credits (freshmen and semester 1 of sophomore year)

8 Traditional 10th Grade Schedule
Math (Integrated Math 1, Integrated Math 2) English 10 or English 10 Honors World History or Ap European History Biology P.E Foreign Language/Fine Art or Elective Class of 2019 Summer School Option Remediation: English 2, Integrated Math 1, 2, Biology P.E. Advancement: US History

9 Class of 2019 Registration will take place February 17-23.
Freshmen will register in their PE classes in the Library. Students who do not have a PE class will register during Homeroom according to last names Emily change to your dates

10 Freshmen Registration Timeline for 17-18 School Year
Presentations will take place in the 9th grade Homeroom Classes on February 3 and 10. Online Registration will take place the week of February 17 in classrooms Students will be informed and provided with the online registration process handouts. Students will be instructed to bring the materials home to share with parents. Review of VUSD graduation requirements and 4 year university requirements will be discussed Summer School information will be provided Please refer to the online program planning guide for additional resources Emily change dates

13 Summer School

14 Class of 2018 Registration will take place February 14, February 16 and February 24 It will take place in the 10th grade World History Classes Students who took the course over summer school or online will register during Homeroom by last name.

19 AP Classes and Expectations
Rigorous Course Work Make certain you are dedicated to the course for the entire year Summer assignment must be completed and turned in the 1st day of school Drop Process – authorization from parent, teacher, AP Coordinator Dropping the course may have an impact on your application; therefore, it is extremely important to finish courses your enrolled into.

20 Teacher’s Aide/ Academic Tutor
Teacher Aide Need form signed & approved by Teacher, Parent, Learning Director, and Assistant Principal. Must have a GPA above 2.0 Office Aide Need form signed & approved by parent, Assistant Principal, Learning Director, and Assistant Principal of Student Services. Must have a GPA above 2.75 Academic Tutor Must have a GPA above 3.0

21 NCAA/Reminders Current Sophomores who are interested in playing at the college level sports- Register with the Eligibility Center at the end of your sophomore year (May 2016) Cost $70 (eligible for fee waiver) register at Honors classes are weighted the same as non-honors classes. Students do not receive an additional GPA point when taking these courses (not the same as AP classes). Take a look:
