The Present Progressive Tense

The present progressive is used to describe things that are happening at that moment in time. In English you will recognize it because you will have the “to be” verb combined with a second verb ending in “ing”

In Spanish:  “estar” + ando/iendo

AR Verbs  Conjugate the verb “estar” based on your pronoun  Drop the “ar” from the verb and add “ando”  She is dancing  Ella está bailando ER/IR Verbs  Conjugate the verb “estar” based on your pronoun  -Drop the “ER” or “IR” from the verb and add “iendo”  They are running  Ellos están corriendo.
