2 The present progressive is the equivalent to the --ing form of the verb in English. It is used mostly when talking in Spanish. It means that the action is happening right now.

3 Yo estoy hablando. I am talking. Nosotros estamos comiendo. We are eating.

4 Estar + gerund (ando/iendo)  Always use the form of estar or the tense doesn’t make sense.  Think of the --ando and the --iendo as the –ing we add to our verb. Yo estoy hablar--------habl------ hablando.
