Process – Stroke Repertoire Observation Schedule 2 sets against opponent of equal ability Full court singles Observer watched my performance and marked my shots on a sliding scale from effective to ineffective

Why Appropriate? * Written format provides a permanent record (allows comparision) Identifies strengths and weaknesses in game play (variety and range) Good source of positive feedback Duration and challenge of match ensures reliable info Equal opponent ensures range, motivation, pressure Objective feedback – non bias Converted to statistics which are hard to argue with.

Initial data collection –Video analysis * 2 sets against opponent of equal ability * Completed at the same time as SROS

Why appropriate? Footage can be slowed down, paused to observe sub routines in more detail to highlight strengths and weaknesses Reinforces findings of stroke repertoire (back up) Permanent record which can be compared at a later date Visual feedback (paints a picture)

Initial data discussion Main strength Subjective % Feelings on why it is a strength Direction/placement Power/disguise Technique Impact on opposition Main Weakness Subjective % Feelings on why it is a weakness Direction/placement Lack of power/disguise No variety Opposition impact
