Creating a Google Drive Presentation By Ms. Rogers & Ms. Heskett

Google Drive Creator One student from your group needs to be the Google Drive Creator. Follow these steps…  Go to Drive  Click "Create new" and then "Presentation”  Title it including the period (Example: A2+Final+Catcher+Project).  Save it.  In the upper right corner, click "Share”  Type in your group members’ gmail addresses. Also type in your teacher’s address: or  Allow everyone in the group to edit.

HOW GOOGLE DRIVE WORKS Everyone in your team can work on your presentation at the same time from ANY computer with internet access, so long as you remember your Gmail account. (TIP: put it in your phone so you don’t forget it) Creating a presentation in Google drive is similar to creating a presentation in PowerPoint. Create new slides with the "Slide" button. Choose a slide layout that works with your text/ image needs.

The Info On Your Slides Each person is responsible for using your WRITTEN REPORT to create slides. LIMIT the WRITING on each page. Do NOT type up your entire paragraph from your written report. Include only KEY POINTS.

Presenting Your Slides You are required to present ADDITIONAL information NOT on your slides. This includes … Providing examples from the text to support your choices making connections to Holden explaining any visuals You may use 3x5 CARDS to assist you (not your cell phone).

The LOOK of Your Slides Headings Organize your ideas with headings. Some slides have been included as SAMPLES which you are free to change. Colors & Backgrounds Use DARK, contrasting colors so that writing stands out and can easily be read. Font Use easy to read text. Make sure to coordinate so everyone is using the same fonts and sizes.

PICTURES Use fair-use images from or US government sites. Visuals should ADD information to your presentation. VIDEOS You may use short video clips.
