For Teens!

How can it be done?

Make a list of healthy foods you like to eat Planning is the key

New research points to an inverted food pyramid Research what a balanced diet is if you don’t know

Be prepared! Once you research your foods, make that shopping list and then make a rough schedule for meals and snacks

Don’t be too rigid but get some healthy ideas you can incorporate

What about exercise?

At least 30 minutes of moderate to vigorous exercise 4 to 5 days a week is necessary for health

Start with exercises you enjoy. That will make things easier

Be sure to get help where you can Implementing a new lifestyle isn’t easy

How can I make the transition easier?

A support group is always helpful Enlist help from friends and family

Be mindful of your schedule and set reasonable goals This applies to exercise and diet

It’s easy to do Be careful not to sabotage yourself!

Make sure you have healthy snacks planned Don’t let yourself get too hungry!

Keep up a healthy exercise program you can make a routine

Reset your thinking and approach to healthier eating and exercise

No it isn’t easy but you want to be a healthy teen and adult. Make these changes now for a brighter happier future!
