Open SolidWorks and select Part

In the top of the screen, click Sketch, then click the Rectangle.

Next, your Panes will appear, click Top Pane Click Ctrl and 8 at the same time on the keyboard. This makes the Pane face you.

Now, on your Pane, draw a square of any size.

Next, we use the Smart Dimension tool to make our Square the correct size. We’ll make ours 100mm x 100mm

Change the value to 100, then click the green tick. Click the corners of the edge you’d like to change then drag your mouse up from the line. Click the line and the Modify box will appear. Change the value to 100, then click the green tick.

Do the same again for the other side to make a perfect square!

Next we click on the Features tab Next we click on the Features tab. Then we click on the Extruded Boss/Base tool. This turns out sqaure 3D!

We extrude our square to 100mm. This gives us a Cube We extrude our square to 100mm. This gives us a Cube. Click the green tick in the corner when you’re done.

You should have something that looks like this!

Next, click the top and then press control and 8 on your keyboard to make it face you

Now, go to the Sketch Tab and select the Circle.

Can you draw four circles on top of your cube just like this?

Once you’ve drawn your circles, use the extrude tool in the features tab just like before. Extrude your circles 10mm

Well done! You just made a Lego Block! 
