Nick gets invited to one of his party’s, then becomes friends with him, and learns that he likes a girl named Daisy They almost married when they were smaller, but he didn’t have lots of money and decided to wait. He gets back with Daisy, and they have an affair. Tom got suspicious of this, and he tries to prove that Gatsby is not who he thinks he is. Daisy becomes enraged at Tom's condescending, superior, chauvinist attitude, and says that she will leave Tom for Gatsby. Then, she finds out that Gatsby is not the respected pharmacist he told her he was. He gets his money through bootlegging. Daisy then she refused to leave Tom for Gatsby, and makes Gatsby drive her home. Daisy is at the wheel when the car hits someone- coincidentally, Myrtle Wilson, Tom's other woman. Mr. Wilson discovers his wife's affair, and asks around about the car that hit her (it is bright yellow and immediately recognizable). So, thinking that Gatsby hit her, Mr. Wilson goes to Gatsby's house and shoots him, and then shoots himself. Gatsby dies alone, because no one shows up to his funeral except for Nick and his father. Not even Daisy comes to his funeral. Tom and Daisy go to Chicago and Nick never sees them again.

INTERESTING FACTS  The Great Gatsby was the most written novel while Fitzgerald was residing on the Riviera in the South of France and revisions were said to take place in Rome.  Fitzgerald died of a heart attack at 44, thinking of himself as a failure. Despite garnering some modest achievement in his lifetime he never witnessed the enormous commercial and critical success of his book The Great Gatsby.  Fitzgerald’s editor Maxwell Perkins also brought Ernest Hemingway to prominence, publishing THE SUN ALSO RISES in His other clients included Thomas Wolfe and James Jones.FitzgeraldErnest Hemingway  Fitzgerald was so impressed by the original art deco cover for THE GREAT GATSBY that he rewrote parts of the novel to suit the artwork.FitzgeraldTHE GREAT GATSBY  Despite THE GREAT GATSBY being the quintessential American novel, it was mostly written while Fitzgeraldwas residing on the Riviera in the South of France and revisions were said to take place in Rome.THE GREAT GATSBYFitzgerald

MOVIE RATE  7.3 is the Great Gatsby Movie Rate

FILM LOCATION  The Great Gatsby location: the Gatsby mansion: Rose cliff, Newport, Rhode Island

WHY I LIKE THE MOVIE?  I like The Great Gatsby because it’s a mysterious, action, drama, and comedy movie and those are my 3 favorite types of movies. I also like this movie because is in past tense and I like movies that takes place in the old days. I like the fact that the movie was not in black and white, and I think that this movie has a cool meaning. I only think that the ending was kind of messed up because the main guy dies and nobody shows up to his funerals.
