Sexually Transmitted Diseases –STD’s are dangerous –STD’s may have no symptoms or some that come and go. –Most STD’s can be treated. –The body can not build an immunity to an STD –All are spread through intimate sexual contact with an infected person. –THEY CAN BE PREVENTED!! #1- Abstinence #2- Safer Sex (Using protection when participating in any type of intimate sexual contact.)

HIV/AIDS  AIDS IS A DEADLY VIRUS –there is no vaccine and NO CURE, it is Fatal!  You can be a carrier of HIV without having AIDS. –An apparently healthy person who has HIV in the blood can pass it on to others. –People infected with HIV have the virus for an average of 10 years before showing any symptoms of AIDS.  AIDS is easy to prevent through ABSTINENCE.
