Read aloud. Take turns reading your essays out loud to your group. As you are reading, your group members need to take notes on the following items: What is most memorable about the essay? Did any part of the essay not make sense? Did you get confused at any point while the person read? After each person reads, each group member should give their feedback to the writer and talk about the listening experience.

Silent reading #1. Trade papers with someone in your group. Silently read the essay and do the following: Make 3 positive comments. Give 3 constructive comments about how to make the essay better.

Silent reading #2. Trade papers again. Silently read the essay and do the following: Make 3 positive comments. Give 3 constructive comments about how to make the essay better. Try to make different comments than the ones already there.

Give the essay back to the owner. Read over the comments. At the TOP of the essay, please write a note to yourself of things you need to revise for the final peer revision.
