Timed Essay Test Manilla folder – Write your name, class # on the tab in pencil. This test is a “simulation” for the day of the writing test in March. – The testing day will be conducted in your homeroom class. – We will be on a special schedule with around 4 hours allotted for this writing test. – It is not a timed test. – All writing is done in pencil. – You will write one of the following types of essays: Persuasive, Narrative, Summary, or Response to Literature.

This Writing Task: You have 2-3 days to write this essay in class. All work will be done in class. (Does not go home!) Read the prompt carefully! Use the Planning sheet. Plan, plan, plan for no less than 30 minutes. Today, start writing on lined paper. Remember your mantra! (Take a Stand, Give me 3, Disprove Opposing Argument)
