Stage 7 Fixed-term Exclusion Stage 6 Restart Room (formerly ER) Stage 5 Reflection Room (formerly PDfL) Stage 4 Department referral Stage 3 Move student Stage 2 Secord warning (recorded) Stage 1 First warning (not recorded) Sanctions Learning Expectations Every effort must be made to ensure the student stays in the classroom and has access to education. Sometimes behaviour may prevent the learning of others and a student must go through each stage of the sanction system.

The Reflection Room The option of failing a referral or automatically being placed in PDfL no longer exists The ‘on call’ system is now ran by The Leadership Team in school Should a member of staff require extra support, they will alert for a senior response This does not mean you will automatically be placed into the REFLECTION ROOM Lunch will be at 12.30pm If you are placed in for the day, you will stay until 2.55pm

RESTART RESTART is a bookable internal exclusion- it runs between the hours of 10am- 4pm When booked into the RESTART room your parents will be made clear that you do not come into school until 9.55am. There are 2 members of staff in RESTART The school work you should be completing in lessons will be complete whilst you are in RESTART Lunch will be at 1.30pm

Expectations of BOTH ROOMS Mobile phones will be handed over on arrival Expectations will be made clear You will work in silence during your session, unless told otherwise On arrival you will complete a REFLECTION PACK, whereby you will consider WHY you have been placed into these rooms

What if... I walk out of the RESTART room or REFLECTION room: you will automatically be sent home, with a further exclusion I am late to the RESTART room: you will do the extra time at the end of the day I do not complete the relevant work set: there will be a further consequence, likely to be an exclusion I want to go to the toilet: you will raise your hand, ask if you can go and wait until somebody allows you to go I have a reasonable question to ask: you will raise your hand and wait for somebody to answer you

So what if I ‘want’ to fail referral? Or I want to go to the REFLECTION room? Firstly, ‘on call’ no longer exists, as it did If your behaviour is deemed inappropriate or serious a SENIOR RESPONSE will be called for A SENIOR MEMBER OF STAFF will attend to the situation and decide on the consequence of your actions

But what if... I am caught truanting: You will be taken to your lesson by a member of staff and you will receive a consequence from that subject I am late: You will be given a consequence I am late to school: You will be given ATTENDANCE DEBT- they will run lunch times and after school I refuse to comply with any school rules: You will be dealt with accordingly, which is likely to result in an exclusion

SLEUTH Everything you do will be recorded on SLEUTH Exactly the same as all those fantastic ACHIEVEMENT POINTS That information will be shared with your parents/ carers

Imagine SLEUTH is a bank account... Who wishes they were a millionaire? Who wishes they were bankrupt? Think of every achievement point you get as a £1 and think of every negative you get results in withdrawing a £1 from your bank account... If you get lots of achievement points, you will become rich... ££££££££££££££££££ If you choose to get negative points you will end up withdrawn and you will OWE the bank money- in the real world, there is a consequence for that and the bank charges you!! -£ -£ -£ -£ -£

Platinum 400 Gold 300 Silver 200 Bronze 100 House Points Rewards Behaviour Type Points Completed Homework 1 Point Good Citizen 1 Point Meeting Targets 1 Point Good Effort 1 Point Ready to Learn 1 Point Good Class Work 2 Points Star Student 3 points Good piece of homework 3 Points Enrichment winner 20 points Double Platinum 500

Ask yourself the 3 P’s... Am I PREPARED for the school day- Have I got my uniform, journal & equipment? Am I PUNCTUAL- Am I on time? School starts at 8.08am!!! Am I POLITE? Have you said Good Morning to anyone you have passed?

FINAL REMINDERS Students to be off site by 2.55pm unless they are supervised by a HWK club, catch up or extra curricular Students are not allowed to use the toilets during lessons Toilets can only be accessed at break and lunch All mag locks have now been placed on doors- they will only be released during lesson change over Both the hall and atrium are now open on a lunch time- please use these facilities, chill out, and enjoy your lunch
