CONTENTS Abstract Objectives Block diagram Methodology Advantages & disadvantages Applications Conclusion

1.ABSTRACT: ATM Security has always been one of the most prominent issues concerning the daily users and the not so frequent ones as well. This paper emphasizes on the hypothetical, yet very possible scenario of an individual's ATM card falling into the wrong hands, and the PIN number being cracked by a theft perpetrating entity. Our proposed model uses certain factors which would be monitored right from the initiation, to the end of the respective transaction. With the help of these factors, we would declare the status of the transaction before proceeding with cash withdrawal. Such monitoring would assist the transaction with a secure approach to bank upon.

2.OBJECTIVES: The standard approach to verify the appropriateness of a new ATM authentication system is to compare it to PIN entry in controlled laboratory experiments. However, such a laboratory experiment can never mirror completely the real situation when using an ATM .

3.BLOCK DIAGRAM :

4. METHODOLOGY: When we insert the ATM card in ATM , it compare in the comparator with the predefined value then it generates output fed to the MSP430 , in the MSP430 check the password if person is authenticated then it process next otherwise MSP430 will generate the out put that is fed to buffer IC 4050 ,buffer stores and given to the driver IC 2003 in driver current will amplifies and voltage will inverts with the help of Darlington circuit of driver IC to drive the relay . Then signal is given to the output load for indication purpose. .

If anybody try to thief ATM machine, breaks the continuity in tamper circuit then it generates the out put .That out put is fed to buffer IC 4050 ,buffer stores and given to the driver IC 2003 in driver current will amplifies and voltage will inverts with the help of Darlington circuit of driver IC to drive the relay . Then signal is given to the output load for indication purpose .

5. ADVANTAGES & DISADVANTAGES: More useful in remote areas. This project we can operate Easily We can avoid frauds with the help of this project .

DISADVANTAGES: It increases the cost whereas digital systems reduce the cost of system.

6. APPLICATIONS: This project can be implement in Military applications. Use as surveillance device. This project can be implement Automotive domain.

7. CONCLUSION: we were able to identify several factors that are likely to influence the performance and security of authentication mechanisms for ATMs. Our observations revealed practices that suggest specific design decisions for ATM authentication systems.
