Workshop Objectives 1.To provide knowledge of Thai Qualifications Framework for Higher Education (TQF:HEd) to faculty members. 2. To enable faculty members to prepare the TQF3 of the courses they teach. 3. To prepare all AU academic units for the implementation of the TQF:HEd.

What is TQF? Why TQF? When TQF?

MOE’s Program Standard Criteria B.E and other related regulations e.g. credit transfer, degree titles, etc. All Thai academic programs (Bachelor’s, Grad.Dip., Master’s, Higher Grad. Dip, Doctoral)

MOE’s Thai Qualifications Framework for Higher Education (TQF:HEd) B.E All Thai academic programs ASEAN Qualifications Framework (Expected in 2015)

TQF:HEd Implementation Required by Law - Development of new program: from 2010 onwards - Modification of all existing program: Impact on every individual course -AU Announcement 4/2010 “Development/Modification of Programs in Accordance with the Thai Qualifications Framework for Higher Education (TQF:HEd)

National Qualifications Framework unified structure of recognized qualifications a set of principles and guidelines providing a vision, a philosophical base and an organizational structure for a qualifications system a set of principles and guidelines by which records of learner achievements are registered to enable national (and international) recognition of acquired skills and knowledge, thereby ensuring an integrated system that encourages life-long learning

Why NQF? Create an integrated national framework for learning achievements Facilitate access to, and mobility and progression within education, training and career paths Enhance the quality of education Contribute to the full personal development of each learner and the social and economic development of the nation at large
