PSYCHOLOGY …AND MEDICINE Zsolt B. Major - 5th lecture

INTER ALIA… How can we keep our „Self-force” for avoid executing clearly bad decisions?

Alfred Adler Inferior (decreased self- value) feeling Need of compensation Develop myself vs. Decrease others see: groups („reds&bules”…) INDIVIDUAL PSYCHOLOGY Retain power of community / Basic need to belong somewhere

GROUPS – practical benefits Consciously we make effort not to feel antipathy against other groups (such as other hospital’s, science’s colleages) – and first of all not to show it to patients Consciously we do not feel „better” or „superior” neither on eg. Nurses, or patients… We turn out consciously our stereotypes into some groups of people – if we had it…(eg. Criminals, outsiders from society, etc…) = Need for self-knowledge and self-acceptance: Rising Popularity of Karaoke…!

VALUE SELF-VALUE LOSS OF VALUES INFERIOR (DECREASED VALUED) SELF-FEELING

VALUES: Guidlenes – Reference points AFTER ANALYSIS/COGNITION/DISCOVER THEM…!

LOSS OF VALUES: Lack of cognition/analysis, discover– Disorientation, feeling of lost –

LACK OF SELF-ACCEPTANCE… LACK OF SELF-KNOWLEDGE…

SELF-KNOWLEDGE: We know ourselves – We accept ourselves – WE ACCEPT OTHERS…!

„Real” self-knowledge… … vs. „trendy” self-knowledge…

… you also want the self-knowledge, if it turns out that there is a dark side in you (if you have to faces that you were stupid, you hurted sy…?

Are we brave enough to discover, understand, and accept & integrate our weaknesses, mistakes into ourselves…? …because this is the only way to create really encouraging and inclusive communities…

…such as…:

Karaoke Rock concert Retainer community feeling BUT people do not have to be himself/his own individual People live & feel the retaining power of the community by assuming himself as unique individual:

…people see others assuming themselves in their imperfect reality… …(increasingly) becomes part of the appreciative, acceptor, retainer, community … (we are applauding to others) …suddenly he become brave enogh to assume his own imperfect reality, true individual… …and he experiences truly the acceptence & retaining …..which guides him into (self-)acceptance = Some kind of alternative answer, solution for loss of values…!
