Current State of the MCLA OU Lacrosse is currently a member of the Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association, and the Lone Star Alliance Conference MCLA: 221 teams in US and Canada, in two divisions, across ten conferences LSA: 27 teams, in two divisions, representing Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma Within the league, there are really two levels of competition: “The Premier League” “The Club League “ MCLA Leadership has noticed this gap, currently debating on adding a third, “Premier” division

Characteristics of a Premier MCLA Team Foundation built on Family Involvement from Alumni and Parents does not end with graduation Formally organized support base Strong relationship with the school and community Consistent – success begets success, on and off the field Financially sustainable Collective attitude of all in one sentence – “What can I do to help my team be better today than it was yesterday?”

The University of Oklahoma Lacrosse Athletic Association We have established a non-profit corporation within the state of Oklahoma, allowing us to organize all players, parents, alumni, and supporters of the OU Lacrosse team to all grow the program to a new level Missions Statement: To foster camaraderie and fellowship among current and former players, family of players, and supporters of the OU Men's Lacrosse Team, and to generate and distribute resources to meet the needs of the OU Men's lacrosse organization

OULAA 5 Year Plan Primary Goal: Establish a $35,000 endowment Endowment to be set up within the OU Foundation Establish and set up events to engage membership and the community Secondary Goal: Grow membership from 50 to 150

OULAA 20 year Forecast Assuming we achieve our 5 year plan, and using a conservative growth model over the following 15 years, the Year 2034 will look like: 2034 End of Year P&L Membership: 322 Gross Income: $73,989 Net Income: $62,032 Annual endowment appropriations to the team: $31,016 End of year endowment balance: $358,840 Total Gross Income over first 20 years: $782,090 Total Net Income over first 20 years: $625,229

Organizational Structure Founding/Steering Committee – group of players, parents, and alumni dedicated to building the foundation of the OULAA Membership eligibility broken into 5 sections: Student Members – currently active on the team Alumni Members – Any person who has played for OU Family Members – Parents or family of Current Students Supporters/Boosters – Supporters of OU Lax Honorary Members Membership Fee – Minimum of $20/year for all Alumni, Parents, and Supporters

Our impact begins with you - You are empowered to help strengthen and further our family Instant networking from being instantly connected with all members of the family Invitation to attend all OULAA sponsored events communication from the head coach giving exclusive access of the current state of the team

Board of Directors The OULAA Board of Directors works directly as a governing body to promote and advocate the mission and purpose of the OULAA and the OU Men’s Lacrosse Program. The board oversees all responsibilities, duties, and tasks associated with the maintenance and success of the OULAA The Steering Committee appointed the below people to serve on the initial board of directors: President: Alex Perry Vice President: Brendan Klein Secretary/Treasurer: David Higbee At-Large: Kelly Sherrill (1 year term) At-Large: Garrett Purcell (1 year term) At-Large: Matt Moran (2 year term) At-Large: Ron Skalovsky (2 year term) The three officers will each serve a three year term At-large will convert to three year terms after the first term is over

Committees The President and the Board of Directors can develop committees to achieve the goals of the OULAA Committee can ideally be comprised of 3-4 members Committee members can either be nominated or appointed by the board Committee Examples could include (and are not limited to): Finance – manage operations account, collect dues, file taxes Communications – maintain the database and serve as internal and external public relations Alumni Weekend – Plan and execute alumni weekend event TBD Event Recruiting
