Homework Homework is assigned Monday through Thursday. Required to read for 15 minutes every night Phillie Phanatic Reading Program

Consequences for Missed Homework If a student does not complete an assignment, the student is required to fill out a “Missing Homework Slip” at recess time. This gives them an opportunity to think about how they will solve their problem. The slip must be signed by a parent, and returned with the missing homework assignment the following day.

Organization of Binders Homework/ Parent section- contains your child’s homework and any important information required to be seen by a parent. Stays Home section- contains papers that have been viewed and may be kept at home. The remaining sections may hold papers from other subjects that are still needed in class.

Absences If your child is absent from school, please fill out a “blue card” and return it to school when the child returns.

Tests Language Arts –We try to give one week’s advance notice of tests. –Weekly Assessments (Formative) –Theme Test (Summative) Math/Science/Social Studies –Test are given after each unit. –A study guide will be handed out to the students.
