Presentation transcript:

“My life today creates tomorrow” C.E.I.P Virgen del Cortijo - Madrid - Spain School year

STAGES IN THE INTEGRATION OF THE PROJECT IN OUR SCHOOL 1.Presentation of the project and its slogan to all the school teachers. 2.Presentation of the project to the students of all levels: countries and slogan (the students participate by designing the logo, creating Alice, sharing experiences, making the board game, school decorations …?). 3.The slogan is taken as a learning center to work through the different subjects and cross curricular topics.

ARTS AND MUSIC Exposing children to art helps them to think creatively with an open mind. They also learn to express feelings and to understand that there is more than one right answer and multiple points of view.

CULTURE AND TRADITIONS -Knowing about other cultures increases our confidence and ability to work with others from around the world. -Thinking back and remebering old cultures and our traditions establish consistency in kids’ present and future lives.

P. E - SPORTS -Awareness of the importance of having a healthy life style and exercesing. -Participation in sport activities along with other schools of the area. -School “olympic games”.

HEALTHY EATING HABITS - Eating habits are formed during childhood and can last a person’s whole life, so learning about healthy food at school can be crucial to avoid obesity and disease in their future lives.

ROAD SAFETY Road safety education seeks to develop the behaviours and attitudes for safe road use relevant to the development of children and young people as passengers, pedestrians, cyclists and drivers.

COOPERATIVE LEARNING -Students learn to work with all type of people and become aware of individual differences (diversity). -They have the opportunity to develop critical thinking skills and to get feedback from classmates.

FREE TIME - HOBBIES - Hobbies as educational tolos. By working on hobbies, children learn to set goals, make decisions, and solve all sorts of problems. Finally, hobbies often turn into lifelong interests, even careers.

ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION -Outdoors activities to raise awareness of the importance of preserving and taking care of the environment.

DIFFICULTIES ENCOUNTERED IN WORKING ON THE PROJECT 1.Lack of time due to: - pressure from the administration to prepare external tests that need preparation in class. - pressure to finish the programme (curriculum).
