 Preliminary SAT/ National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test  Optional for all students  Measures critical reading, mathematical reasoning, and writing skills that are important for success in college.  Wednesday, October 16, :15 am-11:30 am TBD  Cost: $14.00 (Fee waivers available if you qualify for free and reduced lunch, see your counselor.)  Register by signing up in the high school office. Only 50 tests are available, so the first 50 students to sign up will be allowed to test.

 Only way to qualify for the National Merit Scholarship is to take the PSAT your junior year  Earn scholarships and academic recognition  The PSAT/NMSQT Program provides valuable resources that help students prepare for the SAT and take important first steps toward college  Get feedback on how to improve academically  Begin the college search process and explore colleges, majors, and careers
