CLASS REQUIREMENTS Marketing and Sports & Entertainment. Overview of course Welcome to Sports and Entertainment Marketing. get ready for your child to be lead into two of the most exciting - and competitive businesses in the world. Sports Entertainment Marketing is a subject to which all students can relate. Sports and Entertainment are everywhere not just in ball parks and theatres, but at schools, on television and radio, in stores, and on the Internet. Students will develop skills to succees in their careers. Sports and Entertainment Marketing teaches solid academic skills such as math, reading, and language arts skills, as well as foundation skills such as critical - thinking and problem - solving skills and key workplace competencies, such as responsibility, self-management, leadership, and integrity. Schedule of topics per quarter and special projects. Every nine weeks we will cover at least 2 or maybe 3 Chapters from the text book. Every nine week grading period students will have to do a project which will be due at the end of the nine week grading period. This will start from the 2nd nine week grading period all the way up to the 4th nine week grading period. Students will have at least 7 weeks to complete the project that will be assigned during that nine week grading period. Grade distribution and grade policy Grading Scale. Tests. 25 % Quizzes. 20% Classwork / Projects. 40% Homework. 15% Workbooks : Sports & Entertainment Marketing. Pen, Pencil and Loose Leaf Paper. USB Flash Drive

SLAM Rules S Students need to raise their hands to ask for permission to get out of their seats. L Listen to your teacher and peers. Respect one another. A Arrive on time, be prepared and ready to learn. M Make good decisions. LET'S PAVE THE WAY FOR THE "A"!

SLAM-A-FY! What does it mean to Slam-a-fy Content Explanation of how your course is slam-a-fied Example of a Slam-a-fied lesson I am putting up one of my Lesson Plans for the week so anyone can see how I conduct class on a daily or weekly basis.

TESTING DATES Every nine week grading period I will administer 4 Quizzes and 2 Tests. These quizzes and Tests will all come from the text book. I will give the students a Review Sheet which I will post up on Edmodo or on my Slam Web page from school. This will assist and help students to better prepare for their Quizzes and Tests.
