South Central Management Network Wednesday 18 June 2008 Newbury Welcome to the Management Network Career Planning Taster Workshop

National Management Network A joint development initiative between the Department of Health and the Institute of Healthcare Management. The Network will incorporate a range of feeder networks across the UK – of which the South Central Management Network is one. It is open to all managers (not just IHM members). Its purpose is not only to provide network participants with access to others from a variety of healthcare backgrounds, but also to: Provide high personal value from these connections which can often be outside of existing healthcare areas through learning events and CPD Respond and adapt to network participants’ changing healthcare management needs and behaviours Discuss ways in which certain healthcare management issues are tackled, what went well - what went badly and what would be repeated if done again Keep ahead of the trends and predict future issues that give network participants a ‘knowledge edge’ of new ideas and initiatives. The Management Network can be used in a wide variety of ways by managers either as a stand-alone support for individuals, or in conjunction with other learning methods and networks already provided in their own local area or organisation.
