Overview What is Apple TV? How can Apple TV be used in the classroom? What content area and grade level is most appropriate for Apple TV? Will any other equipment or software be necessary to integrate Apple TV into the classroom? Who will provide technical support for Apple TV?

Overview Continued Does Apple TV promote a safe learning environment for students? What is the cost of implementing Apple TV? How will funding be supported for the implementation of Apple TV? How can Apple TV be used in the classroom to support pedagogy, content, and technology needs in the classroom?

Why Apple? More than 1.5 million iPads are currently in use by students in America. There are currently more than 20,000 education and learning apps available for iPads. The “Big Three” publishers have teamed with iBookstore.

What is Apple TV? Apple TV is a digital media receiver made and sold by Apple Inc. Designed to play digital content from any Mac OS X or Windows computer. Plays content from any iOS device via AirPlay (wireless video mirroring). Outputs video through an HDMI port to a widescreen television.
