Box Sync – “Virtual Hard Drive” 1. Go to box.com/settings/sync 2. Log in 3. Download the Box Sync application 4. Follow the prompts of the installer 5. Accept License Agreement terms 6. Choose Finish 7. Enter & password (associated w/acct.) & choose Submit
Uploading Files from Desktop 1. Go to box.com and Log in to your account 2. Click on the New button at the top of the page and click New Folder 3. Click on the Upload button and choose Upload Files 4. Choose your file/s and the folder it should be uploaded to…voila!

Uploading Folders to Box Should be able to click dropdown arrow next to Upload & choose Upload Folders, but this can be problematic at times…Java seems to be the culprit That’s why Box Sync is a life saver!

Sharing & Managing Files Couple ways that you can share files/folders Create a link – Access (level of privacy), Send Invite collaborators via (automatic access as collaborators) You can also share from Box Sync (PC)
More Management Options You can choose not to offer your collaborators the ability to share the file/folder further Hide collaborators Disable commenting Disable shared links
Commenting & Assigning Tasks You can comment on any file and tag a teammate whose attention you need (no need to overflow your inbox) You can directly assign tasks related to any file (with a specific due date) You can have discussions related to particular folders
Version History * If there are various versions of a file, you’ll be able to see that indicated by a little blue box under the file name with the version number (e.i. V29) 1. You can click on the blue version box 2. click on the the downward arrow and select 'File Properties’, then ‘Version History’ from the sub menu. 1. On this popup window you can: 1. revert back to an older version of the document by choosing "Make Current," 2. download and older version by choosing "Download," or 3. delete a previous version by choosing the red "X”.

Box & Google Docs 1. Click New button 2. Click New Google Doc or New Google Spreadsheet 3. Create a name for your document and choose Okay 4. Sign into your Google account 5. Choose Grant Access to allow Box to connect to your Google account 6. Start editing!

Giving Access to Your Box Files from a Website The Box Widget allows you to embed folders from your account onto any website, blog, or social networking service that supports HTML embed code. 1. Click downward arrow next to the folder & choose ‘Share’ 2. Choose ‘Embed Folder in Your Site’ 3. A pop-up window will appear with the embed code. You can also choose who can access this folder. You can even preview the embed.
