 Fall application deadline: March 1.  Spring application deadline: October 1.  Late applications will only be reviewed for those with extenuating circumstances.  All transcripts and final grades must be submitted by January 10 in order to be considered for fall admission, and June 15 in order to be considered for spring admission. Deadlines and Transcripts …Official transcripts are required from other colleges you have attended (other than the University of Iowa). You may not use a summer course to meet admission requirements for a subsequent fall admission. However, courses taken during summer session can be used for admission to a later session.

Resume Requirement  Approval through Hire-a-Hawk required.  Information on resume creation and example templates are available on-line and at the Pomerantz Career Center.available on-line  You can make an appointment at the Career Center to review your resume prior to submission.  Applicants who do not receive a passing score will be notified prior to the semester ending so that they can make corrections and resubmit – this is required for consideration of your application for admission.

What Happens If I Miss The Application Deadline? Most likely you will be applying for the next semester. There is a petition process to request to apply late, but those are infrequently approved. Valid reasons generally involve extenuating circumstances that were beyond your control.  If you miss the application deadline talk with your advisor before you complete a petition. Often you can apply for the next session without it adversely affecting your schedule.

What Happens If I Am Not Admitted ? After you receive your official notification from admissions (via ) that you were not admitted you have the option to appeal your admission decision – some important notes :  Talk with your advisor before you petition.  You may petition based on not meeting the GPA requirement, but not for a failing resume or essay.  Valid reasons generally involve extenuating circumstances that were beyond your control and additional documentation may be required.  Your petition must be submitted within 10 days of the date of notification.
