3 Instructions for completing your MyKIIS application  Congratulations on your decision to study abroad! A list of items that you need to complete before you leave for your study abroad experience follows.

4 Study Abroad!!  MyKIIS online application for Summer programs must be completed and submitted before the February 15th deadline to avoid the $100 late fee. The SPRING SEMESTER application deadline is October 2 nd and the Fall application deadline is March 15 th with NO LATE FEE. All elements of the application must be received BEFORE the deadline for you to be considered for a program with the first group. Applicants will be considered as they become complete following the deadline.  If you are currently enrolled at a consortium-member school, your KIIS campus representative will be notified to review your application. There is an additional $300 fee for non-consortium applicants for Summer applicants and $500 for Semester program applicants.  After entering the data in the application, you may choose to either "Save" or "Submit Now". If you would like to begin now and complete your application at a later time, click on the "Save" button. Please have your essay (approx. 300 words) ready as a Word document to upload as part of the application process.  Your course selections are not final and can be changed after the acceptance process.

5 Your Application to KIIS  After submitting your MyKIIS application online, you will still need to send the following elements to the KIIS office: 1. Letters of recommendation - Summer (click for link to Summer form) ONE for Summer and TWO for Fall (click link for Fall form) semester programs, sent directly from the faculty member or given to you in a sealed envelope to be mailed to the KIIS office. 2. An official transcript from all colleges and universities attended sent directly from the Registrar to the KIIS office (address on next slide). 3. The $150 application fee (see payment policy). 4. A copy of your passport (valid through the end of the program year) or a copy of an application for a new passport. Not necessary for those applying to the Mexico programs. Mexico participants will need a certified copy of their birth certificate to travel which does NOT have to be sent to the KIIS office. Enter "applied" in the space for a passport number if you do not have one. 5. Three “passport size” photos (approx. 2" x 2"). 6. FOR CHINA ONLY: A completed visa application AND a copy of a valid passport OR a copy of an application for a U.S. passport which has recently been submitted. 6 The KIIS Office  All application materials will be reviewed based on academic performance and the applicant's appropriateness for study abroad.
