Am, Is, Are (To be verbs in the present) Language Objective: We will complete sentences using am, is, or are to connect the subject to adjectives in three forms: declarative, negative, and interrogative. Formulas & Examples: Declarative Subject + am/is/are + finisher (adjective). Example Zebras are black and white with stripes.
Subject + am/is/are + not + finisher (adjective). Negative Subject + am/is/are + not + finisher (adjective). Example A household pet, like a dog or cat, is not wild. Interrogative A/Is/Are + subject + finisher (adjective)? Is the weather warm and sunny?
