Role of Neighbourhood Wardens

Hounslow Homes Neighbourhood Wardens Government initiative One of first schemes funded Multi-agency partnership

How we started off! Went live uniformed neighbourhood wardens All estates plus two TVHA and one RHP estate 3.00pm to 11.00pm seven days a week

What we aim to do! Improve and make safe the local neighbourhood and community Reduce fear of crime Reduce anti-social behaviour Be a helpful on-site out-of-hours presence

What else the wardens do! Assist with community events such as fun days, youth events, day trips, parties, etc. Estate monitoring Recommending environmental improvements Helping with emergencies

Facts and figures Neighbourhood wardens record approximately 500 incidents every three months Over the last five years over 10,000 incidents have been dealt with We assist with 15 to 30 community events each year

Who do we work with? Hounslow Homes – we provide information which assists other teams to support or take action in ASB cases Police – we provide information to the police which allows them to action incidents of crime and reduce crime Hounslow council – we provide information to teams, which allow them to improve the area Local organisations – we work with these groups to promote the well being of the neighbourhood and the diverse communities
