Aims and objectives Aim To explore opportunities for teaching in the Post Compulsory Education and Training Sector (PCET)

Objectives To explain routes into PCET To identify entry requirements and application procedures To recognise the role and skills of a PCET tutor

Routes into PCET Pre-Service Professional Graduate Certificate in Education/Certificate in Education (one year full time) In- Service Professional Graduate Certificate in Education/Certificate in Education (two years part time) Edexel/Pearson BTEC Award/Certificate in Education & Training (12 weeks & 24 weeks)

Types of learners 14 upwards – no age limit FE & HE Vocationally orientated
