Read aloud of ELA reading passages requires an IEP or 504 plan  There are no accommodations that result in a LOSS 13

End-of-Course DTC/STC Training Preparing for Testing -- Scheduling  Schedule tests  7-business day content window for the district  Content windows may overlap, but all testing must be completed within the statewide testing window  After the 7-business day content window ends, iTester LOCKS and students may no longer log into iTester in that content area  Questar will reopen a window only on a limited basis 17

End-of-Course DTC/STC Training Preparing for Testing – iTester System  iTester Admin and iTester Student  iTester supports Windows, MAC, and Linux operating systems, as well as iPad and Android tablet devices and Chromebooks  All devices must have current iTester Student client 20

End-of-Course DTC/STC Training Preparing for Testing – Tutorials  Tutorials are available in iTester Student for students to practice using the tools within the system.  Login information in the TAM 21

End-of-Course DTC/STC Training Test Administration – iTester Admin  Questar provides DTCs with login information  iTester Admin generates Test Examiner login information  A Text Examiner’s name remains in iTester until the end of the statewide window  Test Examiners reload into iTester with each statewide window according to the precode file  DTCs and STCs can resend or reset Test Examiners’ passwords  DTCs may contact Questar to request removal of an inactive Test Examiner 22

End-of-Course DTC/STC Training Test Administration – Status Codes Only two status codes are found in iTester  Absent: Use the absent status code for a student who will never take the assessment prior to graduation  Teacher Invalidation: This code is only used when a student is caught cheating  See specific instructions in the TAM regarding DESE notification in the event of Teacher Invalidation 23

End-of-Course DTC/STC Training Test Administration – Designated Supports and Accommodations  All Designated Supports and Accommodations must be marked in iTester Admin under the Test Sessions tab  Exception – Braille and Large Print must be marked on the Student Demographics page  All Accommodations must be documented in the student’s IEP or 504 plan 24

End-of-Course DTC/STC Training Test Administration -- Braille/Large Print Editions Order Large Print and Braille through Questar’s Missouri Customer Service  (800)  Administer Braille and Large Print assessments according to instructions in the TAM  Check – A012 for Braille and A021 for Large Print  Students’ responses to Braille and Large Print assessments must be transcribed into iTester at the district  Return Braille and Large Print testing materials to Questar 25

End-of-Course DTC/STC Training Test Administration -- Paper/Pencil Edition In order to take Paper/Pencil editions, students must meet one of these criteria:  The student has an IEP stating that a computer may not be used for testing (mark accommodation code A102)  The student is testing out-of-district  The student is a homebound student who cannot test at school A Paper/Pencil edition is downloadable as a PDF  Download a test for each qualifying student  Each test has a unique security barcode located on every page 26

End-of-Course DTC/STC Training Test Administration -- Paper/Pencil Edition (Cont.)  Transcribe all Paper/Pencil editions immediately after test administration and ship all Paper/Pencil editions to Questar within 24 hours of the end of the district’s content window using Questar provided shipping labels 27

End-of-Course DTC/STC Training Test Administration – Test Book Accountability Form  Report all Braille, Large Print, and Paper/Pencil assessments to Questar using the Test Book Accountability Form  The DTC Test Book Accountability Form is available at readiness/assessment/end-course/general- resourceshttp://dese.mo.gov/college-career- readiness/assessment/end-course/general- resources  See the TAM for instructions for handling contaminated test books 28

End-of-Course DTC/STC Training Test Administration – Test Security  Test security is of the utmost importance  Remember, districts are required to have a local test security policy in place  Students should not have access to cell phones or other electronic devices in the testing room  If cell phones or other electronic devices are allowed in the testing room, they must be collected and stored in a central location  In the computer lab, ensure adequate distance between student work spaces  Ensure that tablets are properly prepared  Ensure that Braille/Large Print and Paper/Pencil edition testing materials are kept secure 29

End-of-Course DTC/STC Training Test Administration – iTester Student Students test in iTester Student  Tests download to a student’s workstation  In the event of a lost connection, do NOT turn off the student’s device  Contact Questar Missouri Customer Service 30

End-of-Course DTC/STC Training Test Administration – Permitted Tools What tools can be used during testing?  Some Universal Tools and the Mathematics Reference Sheet are provided in iTester  Hard copies of the Mathematics Reference Sheet may be printed from the iTester Help tab  Calculators that meet the guidelines  The English I and English II performance events allow for scratch paper, English dictionary, and/or a thesaurus  Unlabeled grid or graph paper for the mathematics assessments 31

End-of-Course DTC/STC Training Test Administration -- Calculator Policy During testing, calculators:  Are not needed or required, and are not provided, endorsed, or recommended by DESE  Cannot have Internet connectivity or connect to anyone inside or outside of the classroom during testing  Cannot contain stored equations or functions at the time of testing  Can only be used where specified in the TAM 32

End-of-Course DTC/STC Training Test Administration -- Disruptions During Testing A student may need to move during testing because of disruption or illness  Procedures are in the TAM  The student must be escorted and not allowed to converse with other students 33

End-of-Course DTC/STC Training Following Testing – EOC Score Reports District will receive raw scores and official Individual Student Results Reports (ISRs)  5 business days after the district’s content window closes, the DTC will be able to:  Download a list of all students’ raw scores  Download and print the Individual Student Results  Student Score Labels after all testing is complete  15 days to notify parents/guardians that scores are available 34

End-of-Course DTC/STC Training Following Testing -- Guide To Interpreting Results Review the Guide to Interpreting Results (GIR)  The GIR is on the DESE website  Use reports available through the Missouri Comprehensive Data System (MCDS) Portal  For questions about score results, reports, and appeals, please contact Accountability Data at
