4 Students Expected to Test Spring 2016 Grades 3 – 8 Students test at the grade level in which they are enrolled in SAIS/AzEDS. English Language Arts (ELA) Math New for this year Students enrolled in high school level course work that qualifies for EOC testing prior to being enrolled in high school are not required to take the grade level test. For example, 8 th grade student taking Algebra I would take EOC Algebra I not the Grade 8 Math test. Student will still take Grade 8 ELA test.

5 Students Expected to Test Spring 2016 EOC Tests AzMERIT End-of-Course (EOC) tests are for students enrolled in courses during the semester that is aligned to the first three English credits required for high school graduation and the first three math credits required for high school graduation. The student’s grade level is not a factor in determining whether or not to participate in AzMERIT EOC testing. Students test during the same semester that the one course credit is completed.

7 Task 1 Available until January 13 Task 1 - Verify mode of testing that is selected for each school in your district/charter. Log into ADEConnect and select the Tech Readiness Application. Verify the Testing Mode for all schools in your district/charter for Spring 2016. Testing Mode indicator as of January 13 will be the mode of testing for the school. This cannot be changed after January 13.

9 Indicator - BLANK Tech Readiness Inventory must be completed for each school. Click “Save”. Go to Reports and the Tech Readiness Results page. Indicator will change to red, yellow, or green.

10 Task 1 Available until January 13 Email AzMERIT@azed.gov Indicator – Red, Yellow, or Green Confirm that the mode of testing has been correctly selected. A green indicator must still have the Computer-Based Testing selected by the District Test Coordinator.

11 Task 2 Ongoing Task 2 – Add, Correct, or Delete Users in TIDE Verify all users have the appropriate roles for Spring 2016 test administration. Users with the role of District Test Coordinators (DTC), District Administration (DA) and School Test Coordinators (STC) can complete this task.

13 Task 3 Ongoing Task 3 – Download Secure Browser. On the AzMERIT portal, click on the Secure Browser button. Download the appropriate Secure Browser onto each device that will be used by students.

15 Task 4 January 4 - 27 Task 4 – Review and Verify Contact and Shipping information on TIDE Home Page. Log into TIDE. Click on the “Contact Info” tab. The Contact Information is only available to users with the role of District Test Coordinator.

17 Task 5 January 4 - 15 Task 5 – Achievement Pre-Test Training All Achievement District Test Coordinators must complete Sessions 1, 2, 3, 5, and 6 by January 15. Achievement District Test Coordinators that completed Sessions 1, 2, and 3 for the Fall 2015 Test Administration are not required to retake these sessions.

18 Task 5 January 4 – 15 (Security Agreement due January 29) Submit verification form for each session that has been viewed. Submit Achievement Security Agreement for District Superintendents and Charter Representatives to ADE by January 29.

19 Task 6 January 4 - 27 Task 6 – View Students in TIDE. Log into TIDE to view students associated with your district/schools. Revise enrollments in ADE’s SAIS/AzEDS and STC to update student enrollments in TIDE. 20 Task 6 January 4 - 27 Verify file uploads following the Initial file and Intermediate file. Revise data in SAIS/AzEDS and Student-Teacher-Course Connection as appropriate. Test materials will be provided based upon student data file in the final file upload.

21 Task 7 January 4 - 29 Task 7 – Mark student paper accommodations in TIDE. Paper version tests include: Braille Test – CBT & PBT schools Large Print Test – PBT schools Paper Version Test – CBT schools Training Video – Task 7: Indicate Large Print or Braille in TIDE

22 Task 7 January 4 - 29 Task 7 – Mark student paper accommodations in TIDE prior January 29. To receive paper version accommodations in the school initial order: Students have to be in TIDE by January 27. Paper accommodation must have been marked by January 29.

23 Task 7 After January 29 Task 7 – Mark student paper accommodations in TIDE after January 29. Student must be added in TIDE. Paper accommodation must be marked in TIDE. Test Coordinator may have to place an additional order.

24 Task 8 February 4 – Prior to testing Task 8 – Add New Students in TIDE All students for both CBT and PBT must be enrolled in TIDE prior to testing. New students enrolled after January 27 must be uploaded into TIDE manually starting February 4. Students that require PBT tests an additional order may have to be placed if there are not sufficient materials available in the district overage.

26 Task 8 February 4 – Prior to testing Paper-Based Testing – On-Demand labels Each student must have a Pre-ID Label affixed to their test booklet prior to testing. All new students will need to have a Pre-ID Label printed. Students with a damaged or missing Pre-ID Label from the initial shipment will need a new label printed. Blank labels are included in the district and each school shipment. Standard 2 x 4 label can be substituted, but labels may not be aligned properly. Verify all On-Demand labels have complete data and that a full barcode printed.

27 Task 8 February 4 – Prior to testing Not Enrolled Students Home School and Private School Students Parents must contact their local district school to request for their child to be tested. A unique 9-digit SAIS ID must be created for all “Not Enrolled” students. Students must be added into TIDE and marked as “Not Enrolled”. 28 Task 8 February 4 – Prior to testing BIE and Private Schools Does not include any state funded approved private schools. Email will be sent to District Test Coordinators in early January with specific directions for adding students into TIDE.

29 Task 9 February 4 - TBD Task 9 - Create Rosters Log into TIDE Click on the “Rosters” button. Information for rostering will be provided in the February Examiner. TIDE User Guide

30 Task 10 March 14 Task 10 – Receive and Inventory Test Materials. CBT and PBT will receive an initial order Materials will be shipped based on students enrolled in TIDE by January 27. Materials arrive in districts on March 14.

31 Task 10 March 14 Track shipments in TIDE Log into TIDE Click the “Orders” tab. Click on “Track Shipments” tab. If your district/charter will not be in session the week of March 14, contact FedEx and provide tracking number(s) for shipment to request your shipment to be held.

33 Task 10 March 14 Test materials will be boxed by district and then by schools. District boxes – White School boxes – Brown Boxes will be numbered and include district and school name. SAVE ALL BOXES Do not remove the green and white labels on the sides and top of the boxes.

34 Task 10 March 14 Immediately upon receipt of materials: Verify all boxes have been received. Compare the number of boxes received to the number sequence on the shipping label. If number of boxes indicated as shipped has not been received by March 15, check tracking in TIDE to see if they are scheduled for another delivery date. Contact AzMERIT Help Desk. 37 Task 10 March 14 District Return Form Track all district overage materials received and returned to MI. If there is a discrepancy in the initial shipment, Mark missing test booklets and test booklet number on bottom of the form Add comment, material missing in initial shipment.
