Be on time -- #notardies! Be prepared -- #workhard! FOR YOU TO SUCCEED: Be on time -- #notardies! Be prepared -- #workhard! Be respectful -- #benice! Be honest -- #don’tcheat! Be doers -- #doyourbest!

ATTENDANCE: When you are absent, you MUST turn in an excuse to Mrs. Crowe, the attendance clerk, within two days of your absence. Only TWO parent excuses are allowed per nine weeks. If you exceed 10 absences (excused or unexcused) you will not be allowed to go on a school-sponsored trip that causes you to miss class time. Assignments missed due to school-sponsored trips should be completed before the absence occurs.

MAKE-UP WORK: If you have an absence, the due date of the work assigned will be extended 1-2 days. Any assignment made prior to your absence will be due on the given date or upon your return. It is your responsibility to get all make-up assignments.

TARDY TO CLASS: You are considered tardy if you are not in the classroom when the tardy bell begins to ring. 1st period tardies are recorded through the office. Each nine weeks you will be allowed 1 excused tardy. Second tardy = discipline referral and lunch detention You must enter and exit through the interior door of my classroom. Please adjust your time schedule accordingly. .

DRESS CODE UPDATE: Any logo on a polo shirt, sweatshirt, sweater, or hoodie must be in school colors (black, white, navy, gray, or red). Gray pants are now allowed in addition to kahki and navy. Shirts may be untucked if they do not extend past your wrist when your arms are placed by your side. Shirts must also be long enough to extend fully over the waistband of your pants, shorts, or skirts. Full zip or button jackets can be any color. Half-zip pullovers, sweatshirts, hoodies, and button-down shirts must only contain in school colors.

SCHOOL CELL PHONE POLICY: Earbuds or headphones are not allowed in the hallway due to safety concerns. Cell phones must be put away before entering classrooms!

CLASS CELL PHONE POLICY: Cell phones may only be used with my permission and / or for instructional purposes. Those times are: Algebra 1 – to complete “check yourself” quizzes on Algebra Nation or weekly Review Quizzes Algebra 2 – after notes are completed to check HW answers using Google Classroom or to complete assigned ACT Review Quizzes If your cell phone rings or alerts during class, you will have to relinquish possession of it per the student handbook, or you will receive a discipline referral for defiance.

GRADING SYSTEM: Tests are given as needed. Dates are indicated on your syllabus which is posted in Google Classroom. * Tests are 80% of your class average. Homework is graded using Homework Quizzes. * Homework is 20% of your class average.

CLASS PASSES: At the beginning of each nine weeks you will receive two classroom passes. These passes can be used in two ways: - Attach a pass to a test or homework quiz for 5 bonus points. - Present a class pass to leave the room— restroom, library, retrieve forgotten materials, etc.
