Journals –These go in the composition books. Each day begins with a Problem of the Day. You do these as soon as you come into the room. Example: Find ½ of 354.5. 8/17 You will put the date, copy the problem, show all work and solve. Then draw a line under it and you’ll be ready to start the next day. Participation and notebooks count 25% of your average. Tests count 25% of your average.

Begin each day’s new notes at the top of the next clean page of your notebook. Do not write on the back of the pages!!! Do not tear pages out of your math notebook!!! Use your notebook for MATH ONLY!!! Be neat! Use pencil only! Space your notes, work and examples. Homework is done in your notebook under the day’s notes. You must show all work to get credit. Notebooks are checked about every two weeks. Your notebooks, along with your participation grade count 25% of your average! If you are absent, get missed notes copied before your next math class.
