Classroom Rules and Procedures The following discipline procedures will be used in class!

Classroom Rules 1. Enter the classroom on time and sit down quietly. 2. Follow all instructions given by teacher. 3. Raise your hand to speak and to leave your seat. 4. No electronic devices of any kind:cell phone, I-pods, mp3, etc. (except when used for educational purposes as instructed by teacher.) 5. Be respectful to fellow students and the teacher.

Classroom Procedures

Being Prepared and Writing Utensils Bring required materials each day, pencils, pens and paper. It is your job to keep your class folder stocked with paper. Also, it means to bring your homework back on time! Writing Utensils Students may use a pencil or a pen (blue or black ink) Typed or computer generated work will be accepted with prior approval of the teacher.

Entering and Exiting Class Entering Class After entering the room, students may not leave without permission. Upon entering, students should go to their assigned seats and prepare for class. Students should automatically begin belllringer. Students should turn in homework to the designated box. Exiting Class The teacher will dismiss the class Not The Bell. Do not pack books to exit class until instructed to do so by the teacher. Students are responsible for cleaning the area around their desks before leaving the room.

Maintaining Your Class Folder Divide in four sections. You can do this with a colored paper or dividers. Name the first section bellringer/ homework; the second important papers; the third assignments; and the fourth notes. The bellringer and homework will be graded weekly. Each item will be worth 10% of your grade. Assignments and notes will be graded as needed and will be worth 30% of your grade. In order to participate in labs, all bellringers, homework, assignments, and projects must be up-to-date.

Papers Handing Out Class Work At the beginning of each class an assigned student will hand out papers if needed. Heading Papers Write your first and last name, the date and your period number on the top-right hand corner of all pages. Place Heading on the paper as instructed by teacher. Writing on the back of homework and class work is permitted. Passing in papers When instructed by the teacher, pass papers to the student in front of you. Teacher will collect them from the front row. These papers will go in your class box.

Restroom and Water Restroom and Water Students should use the restroom and get water during Homeroom, after lunch, during elective, and during PE. If you have a restroom emergency, you must scan the QR code and complete the form You may not leave during instructions or during a test

Pencil Sharpening and Trash Students are to sharpen pencils upon entering the classroom at the pencil sharpener by the door. If your lead breaks during class and if your have no other writing utensil, raise your hand and wait for further instructions. Trash Trash will be thrown away when your are dismissed from class. Keep it at your desk until you are dismissed. Pick up all paper around your desk before leaving the room.

Recycling We will recycle all paper, plastic bottles, and cans. You are to put your recyclables in the correct bin to help reduce our waste.

Walking In The Hallways As A Class Students are expected to walk in a straight line on the blue line when in the hallway. There will be NO TALKING in line. Other students are still in class. All class rules apply in the hallway.

Science Lab There is to be no eating or drinking during labs. Students will be grouped and are expected to all work together in the given group. Students must behave adequately and be on task. All work must be completed and up-to-date in order to participate in labs If work is not up-to-date, you will be required to complete makeup work and then complete a writing assignment to take place of the lab grade

Computers While on a computer students must behave adequately and be on task. You must receive permission to be on the computer. No food or drink is allowed around computers.

Cell Phones While on a device students must behave adequately and be on task. You must receive permission to be on a device. On a day we are not using devices, they are to be turned off and in the bookbag.  If we are using devices but not at the moment, they need to be facing down on the corner of your desk.

Cafeteria You will enter the cafeteria in a line You are to walk in the cafeteria You must clean up your area (table top and floor) of your trash before leaving the table You are to sit at your assigned table You must use appropriate restaurant behavior Don’t throw food Use inside voices
