3 Classroom Rules and Consequences
Come to class prepared. Follow directions the first time Respect others and their property. Raise your hand , and wait on your turn to speak Try your hardest ! Verbal warning written warning, change seat, conference with teacher . Contact parent Referral

4 COMPUTER CARE Always use your computer number !! YOUR computer number is also your PLICKER number. Write your login and password in the FRONT of your composition notebook. DO NOT alter the settings to the laptops. Laptops remain on the desk Wear your HEADPHONES when listening. ALWAYS sign out your google account. Neatly PLACE and PLUG the computer in the cart. NO more than 2 students at a time can receive or turn in laptops.

5 What should I do when I ENTER class ?
Principal Investigator will gather group composition notebooks from the bookshelf. Start Bellringers !!!!! On MONDAY , Copy Agenda from the board Be sure you have ALL materials needed for class ( homework, pencils, calculator, etc…) Sharpen pencil. Throw trash away. Get tissue (if needed) If absent the day before, Check the “while you were out “ folder !

6 Procedures DURING class?
KNOW your group roles : Principle Investigator- GETS COMPOSTION NOTEBOOKS FROM BIN Read labs, worksheets, activities etc Be a leader! Materials Manager- get books, comp books, (tool box from shelf). glue, markers and other equipment Data Collector –submit group and individual assignments to teacher OR tray. Collect data, etc. Timekeeper- Give the 2 minute bell warning .Keep up with time limits on assignments, be the motivator that keeps everyone on task. Raise your hand to speak . NO blurting out ! Remain seated & attentive (No sleeping or heads down) Be respectful to your classmates and teacher Be prepared !!! NO eating or Drinking ! No cell phones without the teacher’s permission.

7 At the END of class ? 2 minute Warning
Be sure your name is on your paper . Table of content is updated in your composition notebook Composition Notebooks back are back on the shelf Check the Homework board . Work is submitted to the data collector Clean up around your desk !!!!!!! If you we are using computers, sign out your google account and PLACE and PLUG the computer in the cart. Remain seated until you’re dismissed. The bell does NOT dismiss class, MS BRANTLEY DOES ! Have a GREAT remainder of your day !!!!!

8 Assessments & Grading Homework – 10% Classwork, Quizzes, and Labs- 30% Test – 60% Nine weeks Exams – 10% of grade

9 While you were out ! Makeup work will be provided for all excused absences. It is the student’s responsibility to pick up makeup-work and get notes of what was discussed that day in class within 3 days of return. Students should check the “While You Were Out” binder located in the classroom for classwork missed, homework assigned or hand-outs distributed. Students are expected to make arrangements for tests within 3 days of returning. Please be aware that if a student is absent on the day before a test is given or the day of, they will be responsible for taking it upon return

10 Restroom Passes Students will receive 4 restroom passes per semester . If they are NOT used they can NOT roller over. I will NOT replace passes if they are lost or stolen ! If you run out of passes, you can borrow from a friend ! Use the restroom BEFORE you enter the room

11 HEEEEELP !!!!! Need Extra help with an assignment ???? I can make arrangements to be available after school on Wednesday’s 3:00- 4:00pm (By appointment ONLY)
