It takes a community to prevent a fall. We all have a role to play. Fall Prevention Month is a campaign that encourages organizations and individuals to come together to coordinate fall prevention efforts for a larger impact. The Fall Prevention Month website includes a Toolkit of evidence-based resources to help organizations successfully organize fall prevention initiatives for November. Launched November 2015.

Partners for Fall Prevention Month In 2018, ten pan-Canadian organizations partnered to provide leadership and planning along with another eleven contributing organizations. Partners Our partners come from non-profit organizations and: Attend or send a representative from the organization at monthly Partner meetings Active participation on one or more subgroups Partners from for-profit organizations contribute the same as above and cannot comprise more than 49% of Partners Contributors Active promotion of the Fall Prevention Month toolkit and initiatives in their networks (internal and external)

One of the best ways we encourage organizations to take action is by hosting events/activities to promote fall prevention. We have a category in both toolkits dedicated to activities you can « grab and go » … and more!
