We published the 5 Steps to Green Cleaning in Schools in Since then, it’s been shared with thousands of schools. That was the seed that grew to an expanded set of tools, resources and ever-growing reach. It is also the foundation for the forum here today. But when we first launched the five steps, we had no idea how it would grow, and how it would become the platform of how we change how schools clean.

Sinces it’s launch, our program has grown and been shaped by changes in technology and input from end users like yourself. I think about our program as provide education, opportunities for engagement and policy support at the local, state and federal level Our program includes

the 5 Steps to Green Cleaning, has also been converted into downloadable documents for easy access for anyone.
Our web resources on our Green Clean Schools website have expanded to include content dedicated to building a team, about a getting buy in from your school and conducting a cleaning program assessment.
We have annual webinars to share knowledge and share best practices from industry and school leaders
Earlier this year we launched a video series expand our reach to a new generation of digital users.
ENGAGEMENT
Our original guide is the basis for the national Green Cleaning Award and is used by many state and local agencies as a standard for green cleaning.
We created the Leadership Council from past Green Cleaning Award winners. This council helps guide our current program, recommendations and helps us think through our efforts to engage with facility professionals.
Our Leadership Institute is now two years old and it brings school facility professionals together to discuss leadership strategies while our forum here today is about creating networks of engaged professionals and giving them tools and resources to make change in their schools
And of course, our network of thousands of engaged school facility operators, parents, and community members receive regular updates and information on the latest in green cleaning from us through newsletters and social media.
