PROJECT COMMUNICATION A protocol and/or process for communication coordination between the City and the Project has been established to ensure the accuracy of information shared with the public and business community. PROJECT COMMUNICATION Project information hand out Basic information about the project work, construction phasing and road closures. ODOT has a website dedicated to this project: http://www.dot.state.oh.us/districts/D03/Pages/LOR-US-20-.aspx Weekly updates regarding upcoming work, impacts to traffic, and road closures. ODOT’s Business Liaison will visit the area businesses regularly to answer questions and field concerns. Minimize inconvenience to the traveling public and business patrons Maintain access to businesses and other property owners Maintain a safe project site

PROJECT SCHEDULE AND PHASING Critical Items of Work: Utility coordination Jaycox Road construction Side road restrictions French Creek structure
PHASING OVERVIEW Completion Date is October 11, 2019 Work scheduled from April 1st – November 15th each season US 20 – Two stages Stage 1 builds the eastern end of the project and the French Creek structure Stage 2 builds the western end of the project Side roads Side roads east of Jaycox Road will be completed in Stage 1 Side roads west of Jaycox Road will be completed in Stage 2
MOT OVERVIEW US 20 will have at least one lane of traffic maintained in each direction. The current legal speed limit is 35 mph and will remain so during the project. Side roads will be built part-width, except for the following: Ridge Plaza Drive – 30 day detour Ridgeview Boulevard – 30 day detour Root Road (NB traffic) – 90 day detour Ranger Way – 30 day detour Forest Wood Drive – 30 day detour Garden Street – 30 day detour Wallace Boulevard – 30 day detour Cornell Avenue – 30 day detour North Lear Nagle Road – 30 day detour Main Avenue – 30 day detour
MOT OVERVIEW Notification will be provided 14 days in advance of scheduled road closures City of North Ridgeville, School District, and Emergency Service Providers to receive notification Updates provided on dedicated project website Notice of closure sign will be placed at the point of closure at least one week in advance Business access will be maintained. Plans contain details on driveway access and notes of the timing of signs, notices, etc. Access to be maintained by part-width construction or temporary drives Contractor to notify property owner 7 – 14 days prior to beginning work on their drive Temporary business signs to be provided at relocated drives

2018 WORK EASTERN END OF JOB Phase A: Phase B: Phase C: Phase D: Construct temporary pavement on the north side of US 20. Phase B: Construct new pavement on the south side of US 20 and additional temporary pavement. Phase C: Construct new pavement on the north side of US 20. Phase D: Remove temporary pavement on the south side of US 20. Construct curb & gutter on south edge of pavement. Construct shared-use path.

2018 WORK FRENCH CREEK STRUCTURE 1st phase will build the new portion of the structure south of existing US 20. Temporary pavement will be built to shift 2 lanes of traffic to the south. 2nd phase will build new portion of structure on the north side of US 20. Structure will be completed in 2018 to prepare for roadway construction in 2019.
2019 SEASON
2019 WORK US 20 work west of Jaycox Road Includes work at intersections of Stoney Ridge Road, SR 83, and Root Road. Intersections will have their own phasing. Will be discussed in detail at the 2019 Business Meeting.
