Federal Law Enforcement

FBI CIA Enforce federal laws Work along with local and state authorities when necessary Enforce and investigate federal and international law Gather intelligence (info) about other nations and individuals that may pose a threat to the U.S.

Secret Service Regulatory Agencies Enforce regulations that they put in place (administrative law) FCC – bad words on TV; EPA – pollution; FAA – flight regulations Two areas of focus Financial Law – stop counterfeiting, fraud, etc. Protection – President, VP and families, candidates, visiting leaders, etc.
