Yahoo was created by two men who wanted to keep track of their own interests on the internet. Which explains the modern-organized setup of the website itself, it separates different genres that are available for selection with the click of a mouse. When you first visit the site you can see that it lists different news articles appealing to different audiences, as in political polls, sports, pop-culture, and even animal videos. Like I said it is open to many different audiences, so many different companies and organizations are advertised here such a teen TV shows, medication, even other websites. Yahoo is one of those pages that once you get on you just can’t get off, it uses the “leave them wanting more” system. That means that when they give you a piece of information they reel you in with an amazing picture and the first few words of the story but it never explains itself completely until you click the link. Yahoo uses many more of the attention grabbing systems that appeal to your emotions, your thought process and your eyes.

PATHOS Yahoo, being one of a general informative website out there, provides many of the rhetorical appeals but it uses Pathos more than any other. Yahoo has a very good strategy by using Pathos, these prompts emotions to the readers and attracts more audience to the website. When you first enter to the website the first thing you notice is pictures from the news feed. Many people use that and go through them until they see a picture that might look interesting and hopefully read about it. As you surf around the website, images are everywhere so that the audience of what they can read about. The images are rated to a level that it is appropriate by all ages. How ever not all photos are from yahoo, they are also some advertisements that some might cause anxiety to go check them out.

LOGOS Yahoo uses pictures of the actual events. Some facts being posted can also be seen on the news. They also provide quotes from the person being interviewed. Under the finance tab, they actually provide charts and number data of the economy.
